Retro-Commissioning activities for this four-story above grade Class A office facility of 150,000 square feet in the Maryland Science and Technology Center were performed as part of the BGE Smart Energy Savers Retro-Commissioning (RCx) Program. This was a team effort with the involvement of the commissioning team, field technicians, controls contractor, maintenance staff and the Owner. Early engagement with the maintenance staff contributed to a successful project.

Retro-Commissioning activities were per the BGE Smart Energy Savers Retro-Commissioning (RCx) Program. In our final commissioning report to the Owner, we recommended that several energy-saving activities be performed in order to ensure the continued functionality of the facility and the related systems. Preliminary results yielded +10% energy savings in the first month alone!
